Present: Grace Agnew, Isaiah Beard, Sujay Daniels, Robert Harris, Jane Hutchison, Judy Jeng, Charlie McMickle, Sandie Miller, Sheri Prupis.

New hires for both Programmers and NJVid Coordinator - update on progress: NJIT's Internal process not started yet. HR Director is now doing it personally. Advertising will be up this week. Can use Library Programmer Lists - send the ad to Grace & Isaiah.

Discussion engendered by Tech Implementers' meeting:

• June installation of hardware - Sun needs to get its act together
• May June - software load
• Rutger's Cyberinfrastructure meetings - add Sujay
• Authentication & Authorization Work Group - waiting for programmers
• Need scenarios for Authentication & Authorization to look at - use Alpha Implementers to react to these - e.g. Matt Conforth uses video in science teaching & learning. Vendors require that the video is limited to org members - now used individually in the classroom. How will NJVid offer it to be used? Could be that K-12 schools use their partnerships w/local public libraries. Students aren't registered in schools, but are at the library. However, video streaming is basically being used in the classroom - that's the primary usage! A lot of K-12 schools use Citrix. Backdoor w/20MB could be used to experiment with other schools. Continue this conversation with Matt Conforth.

Barriers to adoption questions - update:

• Ready to go. Ran into some issues at WPUNJ when Jane and Sandie took it, but everyone else was ok. Can't figure out what the problem was.
• Add "What's your local area network bandwidth and what is your connection to the Internet at-large."
• Add to the responders," If there are any difficulties with taking this survey, email Judy Jeng".
• Isaiah will add the question, make a pdf and send out to NJVid committee

Plan for Alpha Implementers meeting on 3/7:

• The plan is outlined in the minutes from the NJVid Sub-committee on Alpha and Advisory Board meeting on 1/18/08.
• Add NJVid Committee to the Alpha Implementers meeting as well. Go over scenarios, too.

Plan for Advisory Board meeting in late April:

• Grace, George & Sandie, NJVid Coordinator (responsible for Minutes).
• President Speert from WPUNJ.
• Meet with Sub-committee for Alpha and Advisory Board in early to mid March to drill down for Advisory Board agenda.

Review of presentation proposals and marketing to date:

• Definite: StateNets in Arizona - Grace & Charlie
• I2 in Arlington, VA - Isaiah & Sandie
• Proposed - Educause - Sandie & Sheri, WCET - Sheri & Sandie, Fedora Users Group - Grace, CNI in Fall, 08- Grace.

Domain issue with .edu:

• We're going to use NJVid.org. Everything will be at NJEDge but Robert will continue to work with Sujay on the webpage.
